NEW YORK CITY-BASED RICKY'S NAMES MOELLERING AS ITS NEW PRESIDENT Ricky's has appointed Catherine Moellering president of the New York City-based beauty-retail chain. Moellering brings nearly two decades of major retail experience to Ricky's. She most recently held the position of executive vice president at Tobe. She is a graduate of Harvard University. "Ricky's truly excites me. It is an incredible brand with significant potential," says Moellering. "I can't think of a retailer right now that is as uniquely positioned to take advantage of the changes that are taking place in the retail landscape in terms of how consumers are shopping and what they are shopping for." KEUNE HAIRCOSMETICS USA APPOINTS BIAZIS AS COO Keune Haircosmetics USA has appointed Andy Biazis as chief operating officer. He reports to founder and CEO George Keune. The Dutch-based brand was established in 1922, is sold in nearly 70 countries and has U.S. headquarters in Atlanta. Biazis will focus on positioning the North American organization of the professional haircare and haircolor brand for competitive growth in the United States and Canada. Andy Biazis He joins Keune with more than 25 years of experience in professional-beauty leadership roles. During his career, he has worked to transform both Fortune 10 and family-owned entrepreneurial organizations into dynamic, fastgrowing companies. Most recently, Biazis served as executive vice president/global business for Nioxin Research Labs—which was acquired by Procter & Gamble in 2008. Prior to Nioxin, he led the turnaround of Goldwell and the acquisition and relaunch of KMS California as president and CEO of Kao Professional Salon Services North America.
