80 April 2014 | beautystorebusiness.com News PBA EXECUTIVE SUMMIT 2014 TO DEBUT THIS DECEMBER The Professional Beauty Association is introducing an event for upper-level management Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The PBA Executive Summit—which the trade association has started advertising—is being designed to feature panel discussions with salon-industry and business thought leaders while providing attendees with an exceptional networking environment. The 2014 summit—themed "Consumer IQ"— will explore current and future trends as well as how to cultivate future leadership. Seating will be limited, according to PBA officials. Slated for discussions are: • Generational Trends: What Generation Y and Millennials Want From Your Brand • Where Good Ideas Crom From • Results from the New PBA/Kline Industry Study The 2014 summit's moderator is Gene Randall, former CNN anchor and NBC correspondent. The summit is mentioned on his website, generandall. com. Event and registration information—including speakers—are posted at probeauty.org/execs. HASS TAKES TKG'S TOP AWARD Steve Hass of The Kirschner Group's Southeast sales team was recognized at the Western Buying Conference in January as TKG's 2013 Sales Executive Year/"A World of Difference Award" winner. "Steve's ability to seamlessly adapt to change led him to be chosen for this prestigious award," says Jane Caris, The Kirschner Group's president.
