Known for her beautiful looks and fashionable style, Ghalichi started sweeping red car- pets with her elegant ensembles and glamorous lashes. Her intellect and education also contributed to the star's success in business. Before she was glamming on Instagram, she was a licensed attorney in Califor- nia. Today, Ghalichi owns several companies including and Lilly Lashes, to offer her millions of followers the chance to get her signature look at an affordable price. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga wear Lilly Lashes to vamp up their glam, regularly, making it one of the most notable eyelash brands in beauty. With more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram and 3.2 million fans on Facebook, Ghalichi's social media is a hot spot for fans to keep up with the star for everyday style inspira- tion from her and her star-studded roster of friends. BEAUTY STORE BUSINESS: How did you start Lilly Lashes? LILLY GHALICHI: It was 2012, and I was filming a Bravo Reality Show called the Shahs of Sunset when I got the idea for Lilly Lashes. I was glamming, a lot. I'm a glam girl, so when it came to lashes that meant I sometimes wore not one, not two, but three strips of lashes to get the look I wanted. It was frustrating and uncomfortable, but it was the only way to achieve the full, dramatic lash look I wanted. At the time, there was nothing on the market that catered to the glam girl. Instagram had just gained a lot of popularity, and girls would comment asking me non-stop: "Where did you get those lashes? What lashes are those?!" One day, I jokingly told my glam squad, "I'm going to start lashes, so everyone can get Lilly's Lashes" and about a month later, Lilly Lashes was born! How did you get started in the beauty industry? What did you do before Lilly Lashes? Before I was in the beauty industry, I was actually an attorney—and a pretty good one! Practicing law is a great profession, but it was very unfulfilling for me. The courtroom isn't exactly the best place for Louboutins, lashes and a full face of makeup. One day, I decided to quit my job and pursue a career in beauty and fashion— so I did just that. I quit and began a swimwear line. I knew nothing about fashion, but I learned as I went, making plenty of mistakes along the way. But that's ok. I never gave up and that's what matters. Before I knew it, I had a blog, a clothing line, and was a cast member of a hit reality show—it's safe to say I didn't have to go back to practicing law. What is Lilly Lashes?
