For Bulldog Skincare for Men, a truer adage couldn't apply more. It was 2005 and Simon Duffy, the Oxford-educated co-founder of London-based Bulldog Skincare for Men, was living in New York City and working in product innovation. He was sent on an errand by his, now, wife: "Please go to the [big-name] natural foods market and get some of my face cream." This seemed an easy enough task. But on the shopping trip, Duffy decided to purchase some skin cream for himself—and that's when the errand took a sudden turn and revealed what was to be a life- changing discovery. "There were lots of skincare options for women, and there was a smaller selection for babies. But when it came to men's products, there was just nothing. I asked where the men's section was, because I couldn't find it, and the clerk told me there wasn't one." And the seed was planted.
