96 August 2016 | beautystorebusiness.com Product Of The Month* DREAMCATCHERS IS AN ESTABLISHED HAIR EXTENSIONS BRAND bringing in over 20 years of experience in one of the fastest-growing categories in beauty. It launched in the United States in 2007 and has gained much popularity through its show presence, as the brand exhibits at 16 trade shows a year with its team of professional hairstylists and models in tow for marvelous demonstrations. Available in 36 shades and counting, DreamCatchers has a wide range of extension-color options that come in a length of 20 inches, 24 inches and can even be custom ordered up to 38-inches long. The hair can also be dyed and is applied in two different ways: I-tip and tape-in. Customers favor DreamCatchers because of its quality product. When properly maintained, the hair extensions can last up to one to two years. We recently caught up with Kat Lewis, the head educator of DreamCatchers, to get a further look into the brand. "As a stylist you must be certified through our company and take our DreamCatchers training before you can purchase our products," says Lewis. "Once certified, stylists will have access to all DreamCatchers products as well as an inside scoop to any new products we are launching before anyone else." As the head of education Lewis, who is also a hair stylist, takes calls throughout her busy day from her students all over the world to answer any questions they may have about DreamCatchers. "DreamCatchers education is the backbone to the company. When you take the certification you learn everything DreamCatchers-related to help your customer feel confident in either the tape or I-tip systems. In the class you receive hands on training for both systems we offer, detailed information on placement, consultation, razor-cutting techniques, pricing, maintenance routines, color blending and more," says Lewis. "Whether you are new to hair extensions or have worked with them for years, this training will give you the true fundamentals and understanding to extensions that will make this business easy money." DreamCatchers provides online material, step-by-steps and video presentation to help assist in mastering the art of hair-extensions application. "The future of DreamCatchers is definitely bright," she says. "Between creating new products for DreamCatchers' stylists and taking everything we offer now and refining it to make it the best on the market, I am constantly surprised at the leaps and bounds this company has made. I am truly excited to watch this company revolutionize this growing industry and watch it exceed everyone's expectations." ■ Breanna Armstrong is managing editor of Beauty Store Business.
