"I have known Tom for over 20 years and believe that his overall experience in the industry, particularly in sales and marketing, will be a tremendous asset to our company," says Philip Solomon, CEO of the Palladio Beauty Group. Winarick is a third-generation beauty executive who possesses more than 25 years of experience working with brands such as Physicians Formula, Prestige Cos- metics, Peter Thomas Roth and Revlon's Sinful Colors. "Palladio has established itself as a true player in the international and beauty supply arenas," adds Winarick. "The brand's value proposition is extremely relevant given today's state of the global economy. We look to increase our presence in the international markets while ramping up product development and accelerating brand communications. The goal is to maximize the brand's performance on a global basis." Beautyworld Middle East at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in May established new records in visitors and exhibitors. There were 28,632 trade buyers from more than 120 countries, an 11% increase from 2013. The increasing global appeal of the event is refl ected in its share of international visitors, which was 45% in 2014—up from 42% in 2013. Beautyworld Middle East 2014 also featured 1,354 exhibitors from 52 countries.
