88 July 2014 | beautystorebusiness.com In what other ways are you active in the beauty industry? And why is that important to you? I believe it is an honor to serve, and that's why I'm involved with many industry boards and committees. I serve on the PBA board [of directors]. I'm chairman of the PBA's Manufacturer Leadership Council; [the industry's] City of Hope chairman and current Spirit of Life Award recipient; treasurer of the Western Buying Conference [an annual manufactur- ers rep show held in Las Vegas during January] for more than 20 years; and a member of the [Northeast Beauty Rep Association, which hosts the] Eastern Buying Conference [an annual manu- facturers rep show held in New Jersey during the spring]. I find that serving in these organiza- tions presents opportunities to meet top professionals and strengthen my network of business relationships. At the same time, I'm able to help contribute to others growing their businesses. Are there any closing thoughts youÕd like to share? I am so grateful to my wife and children for their support through all of these years of building The Kirschner Group. I want to publicly thank the many wonderful customers we service for their loyalty and support. I have developed many deep and meaningful relation- ships, which have certainly enriched my life. I know many of their families, and I'm so honored being a part of their business and personal lives. I am also grateful to our loyal manufacturers that have made our company success- ful. I could never express enough the immense gratitude I feel for the bless- ings I have received from the wonderful folks in our industry. I believe we have good times ahead, and I look forward to many productive and rewarding years in the future! ■ Tracy Morin is a freelance writer and editor based in Oxford, MS.
