EMERGING BEAUTY This year CPNA is also bringing back the Emerging Beauty program, which allows manufacturers that have never been a part of the show to experience the business opportunities it presents. The initial invest- ment for the Emerging Beauty program is lower then other programs offered at CPNA, and only newcomers may participate. There are two distinct sections within Emerging Beauty. The Pavilion A one is dedicated to finished products for retail distribution. The Pavilion D one is dedicated to professional use for the salon industry. The Emerging Beauty lineups for this year hadn't been announced as we went to press (although unofficially we know numerous brands that are in). For more informa- tion about Emerging Beauty—including the latest on its lineups—visit cosmoprofnorthamerica.com/exhibition/ emerging-beauty.aspx. You can also view each exhibitor's location in an online show floor map and add the supplier to your "My Expo Plan." At CPNA be sure to pick up a show directory as well as a map. For smartphone users there is a free official mobile app to give attendees quick access to the exhibitors list by various criteria such as product category or country of origin. It also allows users to connect with other attendees, rate exhibitors and ask questions to speak- ers. For iPhone and Android users, download the app from the marketplace. CPNA's TV SHOPPING 'OPEN-SEE' RETURNS For the second consecutive year the show will offer an opportunity for key CPNA exhibitors to meet with executives at home shopping channels. QVC, HSN and ShopHQ (formerly ShopNBC) are looking for the next hot beauty products. The live presentations will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 14 in a private meeting room inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center with video cameras rolling. Executives will be looking for innovative and authentic product concepts with the ability to connect with their viewers. FIRST-EVER INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE TECHNOLOGY AREA CPNA will debut an interactive experience technology area on its show floor this year. Pearlfisher Futures invites all to a customized container to explore the future of beauty, health and wellness through blue-sky concepts, thought-provoking films and expert presentations. Learn how to build desire, brand impact and foster customer engagement through this highly inspiring and interactive multimedia exhibition. Experience this on your own during show hours. Or attend a one-hour guided tour: July 13, 1 p.m.; July 14, 3 p.m.; and July 15, 11 a.m. Another multimedia exhibition in the area sponsored by The New Agency is the Digital Discovery Tool Booth. It's a quick-stop opportunity for any brand representative to use various analysis tools to see more clearly the state of the brand's online and YouTube presence. Experts from Bamboo, SpringBox and Strike Social will be available to discuss ideas and tactics to make quick and long-term improvements to online marketing strategies. In addition, brands will have the opportunity to discuss overall video, YouTube and online strategies with Erick Brownstein, The New Agency's founder. This area will be available throughout the show, and is open to all show attendees.
