The whole shoot was very detailed. My favorite part was getting my hair cut. I let my facial hair grow long for Movember, and it was getting really shaggy. Afterward, my wife almost didn't recognize me! I received a lot of compliments on my new look. Before the makeover, what was your experience with using clippers and trimmers? It was a very easy routine of trimming my beard and shaving my head. How does the look that the team created for you match your person- ality and lifestyle? The look is very precise and a little more styled than my normal shaved head. Do you plan to keep up the look? Yes I am. I'm keeping the side part but keeping a full-trimmed beard. This winter's been cold! BSB: What did you think when you heard that Andis wanted to feature you in a marketing campaign? I thought it was great to be involved in other areas of the company, and I was very excited. Can you describe your makeover experience? I felt like a star! I had such a great time getting my hair and makeup professionally done and seeing what models do each day. Being in front of the camera is hard work! What do you remember most from the experience? I loved the hair, clothes and makeup. It was amazing to see how it all pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I saw myself from a dif- ferent perspective. When I got home, my husband couldn't stop looking at me. Do you plan to keep up the look? Yes. I love the short hair! I even added color. It makes me feel sassier and confident. The whole thing—from walking into a catered lunch buffet to taking off my shirt and posing for the camera—was a lot of fun. Before the makeover, what was your personal experience with using clippers and trimmers? It was minimal. If I didn't have time to go to the barber, I would use a clipper with a #1 guard.
