Anna-Ok/gettyimages.com 56 August 2018 | beautystorebusiness.com Boost sales and please health-conscious consumers with personal care products made from natural ingredients that deliver results. s the demand for natural products has skyrocketed in recent years, the beauty industry has responded by developing products with more organic and natural ingredients–as well as safer synthetics or none at all. The result: What once was a niche market for "green" beauty products is quickly becoming the norm. The numbers are hard to ignore. The global organic personal care market is expected to reach $25.1 billion by 2025, with an impressive 9.5 percent compound annual growth rate since 2014, according to Grand View Research. The consumer trend of focusing on a healthier lifestyle–along with the willingness to pay a little extra for health-conscious brands–continues to shape this market. "I think consumers are making an effort to choose healthier foods, so it makes sense that the next step is a shift in the body care and skincare products they use," says Danielle Brabson, founder of the skincare line Wren Natural. "It is great to see that people are realizing that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body." Some retailers have a dedicated section for natural products, while others display natural products alongside their conventional counterparts. Regardless of the method you choose, the key is to make it clear to customers which brands are natural and why the ingredients make a difference. "I have always liked shopping when natural products are displayed with conventional products, but I have a different color tag to indicate it is a natural option," Brabson says. "This really gives consumers the ability to make comparisons and to note which brands offer a natural option for something they are already using." Culled from the natural offerings of established beauty brands as well as from brands we discovered at the Natural Products Expo West earlier this year, here are 40 natural products for your consideration. – Ann H.
