24 November 2016 | beautystorebusiness.com YakobchukOlena, gettyimages.com For precise, clean-cut shaves and trims, these barber must-haves will keep customers looking sharp. by Karen Wilhelmsen B ecause first impressions are so important, men looking to put their best face forward can do so by keeping their facial hair well groomed. We consulted Karen Delzell, vice president of marketing for Cricket and an expert on the art of shaving, for her tips on selecting the right razors and accessories for your clientele. "Think about it: facial hair is an extension of your face. It's important to keep facial hair clean and groomed, just as your head of hair. For appearance sake, that is a personal choice; however, everyone can appreciate a well-groomed beard and mustache," Delzell says. When it comes to finding the perfect razor for your customers, she says it's all about versatility. "Someone that has limited facial hair can easily use a two-bladed, lightweight (even disposable) razor. However, those with heavier facial hair may need to use a more robust razor that offers three blades to get a better shave. For close up sculpting, a straight razor is the way to go."
