The new boutique by the beach features 2,100 square feet of salon and prestige brands, a hair salon and spa services, including facials and waxing. The new location houses 300 beauty brands, including niche beauty brands and the following: • Briogio hair care • Kevyn Aucoin makeup • theBalm Cosmetics • Keranique hair care • Agent Nateur deodorant • Invisibobble accessories • John Masters lifestyle • LipSmart • Mini Mani Moo nail products • GlamGlow As "Curators in the Art of Beautiful," Beauty Collection has maintained its position as a neighborhood retailer and a "one-stop shop," for its customers, offering all of their beauty needs under one roof. The Southern California-based retailer offers more than 30,000 products across its brick-and-mortar locations. BEAUTY PITCH 2016 WINNERS ANNOUNCED The 2nd annual Beauty Pitch event, hosted by Professional Beauty Association in conjunc- tion with Cosmoprof North America, took place during Cosmoprof North America 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, July 24 through 26. The event, which provides beauty entrepreneurs with an opportunity to compete with peers to connect with qualified investors, awarded its 2016 participants during INSPIRE: A Night Celebrating Beauty Entrepreneurs on July 23. The winners are as follows: Primal Pit Paste The natural deodorant company was awarded a $10,000 cash infu- sion from TSG Consumer Partners. Sunlight s Balayage The hair brand received a $5,000 cash infusion from The Kirschner Group. In addition: O.R.G Skincare won the CosmoProf Store Partnership. Alexandria Professional received the Audience Choice award, including a ready-stand booth at Cosmoprof North America 2017 and a one-year PBA corporate membership. The winners, including the semi-finalists, were awarded an opportunity to display their products in an online boutique hosted by Amazon Launchpad. DENMAN AWARDS GERRY UDELL, INC. Professional hairbrush company Denman awarded northeast sales organization Gerry Udell, Inc. with "Rep Group of the Year for Growth in Sales 2015" dur- ing Cosmoprof North America 2016, which took place July 24 through 26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The award was presented to Gary Udell by John Rainey, chairman of the Denroy Group and Victoria Fishman, CEO of Denman, to recognize the Gerry Udell Group for obtaining the largest percentage of increase in business. "Our focus on the Northeast has continually produced a sales increase each year," stated Gerry Udell. The award, in the form of an art medal, was created by Natasha Ratcliffe, who designed two of the 2012 Olympic Games 50 pence pieces for the Royal Mint in the United Kingdom. The front of the commemorative medal is an interpretation of the "Face of Denman," Zoe Rainey, and the reverse shows the hair flicks transformed into waves. From the waves flows the gateway to America, surrounded by the stars and stripes of the American flag. "The Denman name is recognized worldwide as a premier professional hairbrush company, and we are very proud to represent them in the United States," added Udell. A.I.I. ACQUIRES MODEL IN A BOTTLE American International Industries has bought Model in a Bottle. Details of the deal have not been released. The acquisition comes one year after the company's purchase of Hollywood Fashion Secrets. "Like other brands in our portfolio, Model in a Bottle offers innovative products with a fast-growing and loyal customer base. With this acquisition, we broaden our portfolio into the cosmetics category, adding dimensions to our current product offerings," says Zvi Ryzman, president of A.I.I. "We believe it has great potential, and with our wide distribution channels and expertise in growing niche brands, we anticipate a long and happy future for A.I.I. and Model in a Bottle." Model in a Bottle products offer a range of makeup sealing products, including the widely recognized Original Makeup Setting Spray, Eyebrow Sealer and Lipstick Sealer.
