Davis' go-to brushes for powders, con-
cealers and liquids are rounded dome
brushes for buffing. "I love long and
loose brushes for blending because it
diffuses the makeup. If your brush is very
tight and dense, it will allow for more
product application. If I want a wash of
eye shadow color, I'll use a loose and
fluffy brush," she says.
To ensure brushes remain healthy,
retain their shape and last, Davis suggests
washing them at least once a month
for consumers and after each client for
pros. "After washing brushes, lay them
flat to dry, never standing up, otherwise
the water will seep into the base of the
brush," she says.
To provide the best makeup application
for your customers, stock up on these
brushes and cleansers.
