So when Poshly (Poshly.com) came along in 2012 with a business model that sold absolutely nothing but instead ran online contests to give product away, we were intrigued. Was it genius ... or crazy? When the site won L'Oréal's NEXT Generation Women in Digital Award and InStyle's Best of the Web Award during its first year online, it became glaringly apparent that Poshly co-founder and CEO Doreen Bloch was onto something big. Then, in June Poshly announced that it had acquired Coterie.com, a social network and ecommerce destination for beauty lovers. It offers Poshly members an outlet to publicly share beauty information.
