CPNA won Trade Show ExecutiveÕs 2013
Marketing Genius Award as well as a Gold
100 Award plaque last September. Also,
Trade Show News Network (TSNN.com)
ranked Cosmoprof North America No. 103
in its list of the 2013 Top 250 Trade Shows
in the United States released this past April.
This year the show is bringing back
Discover Beauty for the eighth time and
SPOTLIGHTS for the third timeÑtwo of
my favorite programs for high-end beauty
retailer buyers and beauty brands.
In addition, CPNA will unveil a new
partnership with global subscriber beauty
box company GLOSSYBOX. The Boutique-
GLOSSYBOX limited-edition box will debut
there and will go on sale later to consumers
online. This program follows recent suc-
cessful collaborations that GLOSSYBOX
has launched with others, including
Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman and La
Prairie. Show attendees will be able to
handpick seven deluxe samples from 20
featured exhibiting brands for a donation.
All proceeds collected at CPNA will benefit
the City of Hope. In August, the box will be
available for sale exclusively on glossybox.
com. It will feature seven products.
As for PBA Beauty Week, this year is
truly an exciting one. The keynote speaker
at PBAÕs Business Forum July 13 is Mark
Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks
and star of the TV show ÒShark Tank.Ó

North American Hairstyling
Awards (NAHA) will take place July 13
too. Husband and wife Giuliana and Bill
Rancic of the TV-reality show ÒGuiliana &
BillÓ are hosts. (See NAHA 2014Õs finalists

NAHA 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award
recipient is Dwight Miller.
The City of Hope Spirit of Life Award
Gala July 12 will honor Harlan Kirschner,
CEO of The Kirschner Group. His ÒCel-
ebrating CuresÓ COH 2014 campaign
educates salon professionals about the
lifesaving research at the City of Hope
and offers an opportunity for everyone
to get involved. The campaign will raise
funds through the gala, a tribute journal,
an auction and individuals giving back in
their own communities through the online
personal fund-raising platform. ThereÕs a
