They gave me suggestions, channeled my passion and steered me in the right direction. Sometimes, I would be very frustrated because a box or a pump had to be changed. But overall, I wouldn't have done anything without such generous and genuine support. Oprah? She loves our truffles. When I get a call from her office, I put everything down; the world can wait. Her opinion is very important to me, and she taught me a lot. Is it true that you'll be debuting the line on QVC in February? How did that connection happen? And how many times—and when—will the collection be shown on QVC? Yes, we will be launching on QVC on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. I met Claudia Lucas, the beauty director at QVC, at Cosmoprof North America, and she was also part of the jury at Discover Beauty. She has been so helpful and supportive. Which U.S. beauty retailers are currently carrying the line, both online and/or in-store? In North America, we are distributed through Henri Bendel, NewBeauty at Fred Segal, DermStore.com, Amazon Luxury Beauty Store, QVC, Birchbox and The Shopping Channel in Canada. You can also redeem SKIN&CO; with your miles or bank cards through most companies, such as Citibank, American Airlines, etc. Additionally, we will be debuting a masstige line at a major national drugstore in May, and a national beauty department store is considering carrying it this year. If a beauty retailer wants to carry the collection, who should they contact at SKIN&CO;? They can contact our stockist department, which is on our website (skinandcoroma. com) or our toll-free number, 888.444.9971. Which trade shows will you be exhibiting at in 2014? We will be exhibiting at Cosmoprof World- wide Bologna, Cosmoprof North America and Cosmoprof Asia. Are there any introductory promotions for those who are new to the line and inter- ested in testing/retailing it? We have many. It has been my personal mission to make SKIN&CO; available to everyone. We feature many sampling and retailing opportunities. If retailers are interested, our sales team can tailor any promotion around their needs and the needs of their customers. What are your plans for 2014 and beyond—new lines, new ingredients, new countries? This is going to be a very busy year for us. We have one brand-new line debuting, The Umbrian Apothecary Collection. In addition, we just launched in Asia and had tremen- dous success in Japan and Korea. China is also going to start in the fall, and I will be spending two full months in Asia since we recently opened a branch in Hong Kong. In February 2014, we launched in Europe, where the following has been great and the products have been highly requested. If your grandmother could see you today, what do you think she would say about the growth of the company she started so many years ago? I'm not sure, but I think she would be happy. I think that if she could see the world today, she would have made the same decisions and she would be proud that the legacy never ended. It's very important that I fol- low her directions. Indirectly, she left many. Perhaps I was the one who had to open that suitcase packed with her belongings. I am extremely grateful to her even though I missed knowing her by a few months.
