0 THE BEST INTERVIEW QUESTIONS Don't try and "wing" a job interview. Here are 50 insightful interview questions for a prospective candidate. by Steven Austin Stovall, Ph.D. 44 January 2014 | beautystorebusiness.com WITH A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT THAT HAS FINALLY ROUNDED THE ECONOMIC corner, it's time to begin hiring again with earnest. Staffing up, replacing laid-off employees or simply upgrading your existing team is once more on your priority list. As you begin the recruiting process and bring candidates in for interviews, you may want to add to your repertoire of questions so that you can learn as much about each person as possible. Bringing a new person on to the team is not an effort to be taken lightly. It requires forethought on recruiting. It means spending time with candidates so that you get to know them and determine whether they will contribute to your store. And it is a commitment to getting the new hire fully trained. The entire process can take days or even weeks when done right. With the high costs of turnover—repeating the entire selection process over and then training someone new—getting the best person the first time is simply a smart management practice.
